Sausage Party: Foodtopia (July 11)
Sausage Party: Foodtopia – Official Trailer | Prime Video
If you like adult animated movies Sausage Party I would like to draw your attention to the crude and vulgar humor that is so common in Seth Rogen’s work. Sausage Party: FoodtopiaThe show is an adult animated miniseries that adapts this concept. As a sequel to the 2016 film, it follows the story of anthropomorphized food items in a grocery store as they wonder about “The Great Beyond,” a mysterious place their purchases take them to. While some of the food items initially believe that humans are gods and will transport their ingredients to a utopia, others suspect a darker truth.
Where the film ended with a rebellion against humans, the series begins there. Food has taken over the world, but Foodtopia isn’t what it was expected to be. When it is devastated, the group turns to humans for help finding a way to rebuild, with hilarious results.
The voice cast includes Rogen himself as a sausage named Frank, Kristen Wiig (his hot dog bun girlfriend), Michael Cera (a deformed sausage named Barry), Edward Norton (Sammy Bagel Jr., a neurotic Jewish bagel), Will Forte (human), and Sam Richardson as an orange (named Julius, naturally). Sausage Party: Foodtopia It’s pure, ridiculously fun, that’s for sure.
