Garth Marenghi’s Dark Place (2004)
This parody horror/drama series, set in the 1980s, was produced by Channel 4 and was primarily set in Romford Hospital.
Actual filming for the show reportedly took place in a derelict hospital in Middlesex, but the show depicted an eerie Romford.
The series was created by Matthew Holness and Richard Ayoade, who also star, and tells the story of doctors working at the fictional Dark Place Hospital.

The 2021 British crime drama directed by Martin Owen and starring Sir Michael Caine, Rita Ora, and Lena Headey is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ 1838 novel Oliver Twist.
Rumford is listed on the IMDb website as one of the film’s filming locations. It was released on Sky Cinema.

This old classic starring Richard Burton is about an angry college graduate’s journey to coming to terms with middle-class life.
