From spine-chilling thriller series like Sunny and Lady in the Lake; Twister and Deadpool and Wolverinewe’ll give you details on our latest releases. Here’s what to look out for next month…
Sunny, July 10 (Apple TV+)
Based on the bestselling novel by Colin O’Sullivan sunny The film introduces us to Susie (Rashida Jones), an American woman living in Kyoto. After losing her beloved husband and son in a plane crash, Susie is left with a new household robot, Sunny, developed by her husband’s electronics company. As Susie and Sunny develop a friendship, they begin to investigate what happened to Susie’s family, uncovering a dark web of lies and deception.
Lady in the Lake — July 19 (Apple TV+)
Natalie Portman returns to the big screen Lady of the Lake It’s available now on Apple TV+. Here’s the official synopsis, written by Alma Har’el: “On Thanksgiving Day in 1966, the lives of two women in Baltimore City collide when a young girl goes missing.
“Maddy Schwartz, a Jewish housewife trying to leave her secret past behind and reinvent herself as an investigative journalist, and Cleo Johnson, a mother navigating the political underbelly of black Baltimore while struggling to provide for her family.”
“At first glance, their lives seem very different, but when Maddie becomes obsessed with Cleo’s mysterious death, a rift opens between them and puts everyone around them at risk.”
Deadpool & Wolverine, July 26 (in theaters)
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman team up in this action packed movie that sees Deadpool being recruited by the Time Variance Authority to protect the multiverse, and then convinces a less than impressed Wolverine to join the team. Packed with witty one-liners and slow-motion action.
Twisters (seen in theaters)
Starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell. Twister It is a standalone sequel to the 1996 cult classic. TwisterAn action-packed disaster movie, the film follows Kate Cooper and Tyler Owens as they track down and try to contain the most powerful tornadoes.
Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 1, July 18 (Watch on Netflix)
Cobra Kai will return for its sixth and final season, with part one premiering on July 18 and part two coming out on November 24. Now that Cobra Kai has been eliminated from the Valley, the sensei and his students must decide if and how they will compete in the World Tournament (the World Karate Championships).
Fly Me to the Moon, July 12 (in theaters)
Led by Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson Fly Me to the Moon Explore the relationship between marketing maven Kelly Jones and NASA’s tough-talking launch director Cole Davis. With the White House deeming the mission too important to fail, Kelly prepares to stage a fake moon landing while Cole tries to make it happen.
