Happy new year, new Netflix!
It’s no secret that February isn’t necessarily the most exciting month to watch new TV shows, but luckily Netflix has more than just the Super Bowl (streaming February 11th on Paramount+) to help fans There are still some fun shows you can check out. Perhaps most interestingly, Netflix is putting its own spin on the live event when it streams the Screen Actors Guild Awards later this month. This will be Netflix’s first foray into a Hollywood awards show. Who knows how different this program will be from years past, but I hope they enjoy the ability to shake things up. (No time limit for speeches!? A night without a host!?)
If that doesn’t appeal to you, Netflix is premiering long-awaited new releases of “One Day” and “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” as well as stand-up comedy revivals of popular shows like “The Vince Staples Show.” We are planning to release many special programs. Even a comeback from out of left field, like the first eight seasons of “Monk” (starting Feb. 5) starring Tony Shalhoub.
