Three of the world’s best streaming services, Netflix, Prime Video and Max, are going all out in a TV show battle with new seasons of their biggest hits. Bridgerton, the boysand House of the Dragon Makes his debut.
If exciting historical dramas, satirical superhero series, or gory high fantasy aren’t your thing, don’t worry. Instead, there are plenty of compelling new movies and crime thriller shows to keep you entertained. So, what are you waiting for? Read on to find out what’s streaming in the coming days.
The Boys Season 4 (Prime Video)
Hey, it’s you! Yes, it’s you. Did you know that Prime Video’s ridiculously fun and ultra-violent superhero series (at least one of them) is back on our screens? Well, now you know, Sun. the boys But *aargh* it’s back in town for the highly anticipated fourth season, as the dysfunctional eponymous group continues their increasingly desperate fight to bring Homelander, The Seven, and Vought International to their knees — or, at the very least, go about it in the most comedic and violent way possible.

House of the Dragon Season 2 (Max)
Nearly two years have passed since the acquisition of HBO. game of thrones In the eyes of many, the universe is House of the Dragon The series makes an exciting return in Max (USA) with the second eight-episode series, set immediately after the emotional final episode of the previous series. House of the Dragon Season 2 finds Westeros on the brink of a devastating civil war known as the Dance of Dragons, with House Targaryen and House Hightower continuing to battle for the Iron Throne.

Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 (Netflix)
Bridgerton Season 3 got off to a very strong start with the first episode dropping on May 16. Now, volume 2 has been released in full on Netflix, giving us even more access to immersive scandals and risqué romances.

Ultraman Rising (Netflix)
Netflix has offered a ton of great family-friendly animated movies in recent years, especially during the summer (winter in Australia). Ultraman RisingThe streaming giant is hoping to achieve a similar level of success with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, one of Netflix’s new movies coming in June.
Christopher Sean voices Takeru Sato, a Japanese-born American baseball star who is forced to return to his home island after a series of monster attacks and take on the role of Ultraman superhero. However, Sato inadvertently becomes the adoptive father of a 35-foot tall, fire-breathing baby monster, and is tasked with not only keeping Tokyo safe, but also keeping the baby monster from falling into the wrong hands. Presumed Innocent (Apple TV Plus)
“I Didn’t Kill Her” If we’re to learn anything from Apple’s new legal thriller series Presumed innocent A TV remake of the 1990 film starring Harrison Ford and the 1987 novel of the same name, the biggest twist in this film is that the protagonist, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, didn’t commit the crimes he’s accused of.
At least, that’s what he says, as the suspenseful Apple TV Plus drama casts Gyllenhaal as Chicago’s chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich as the mastermind behind the horrific murder of Carolyn Polhemus (Renate Reinsweg), Sabich’s co-worker and with whom he was having an affair.
Based on a 78% critic rating and 84% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Presumed innocent It’s off to a fascinating start on the streamer, and it’s expected to make it onto our list of the best shows on Apple TV Plus soon.

Monkey Man (Peacock)
It was originally set to be a Netflix exclusive, but Jordan Peele acquired the theatrical rights. Monkey Man (currently available on Peacock), through no fault of his own, John Wick movie.
With its intense, violent action and revenge-driven story, it’s easy to see why, but John Wick Clone is a poor choice for Dev Patel’s feature directorial debut (in which he also stars). Sure, it may be the story of a son seeking revenge on the perpetrators of his mother’s death years ago, but it also packs in socio-political commentary, myth-soaked themes, and ambitious fight scenes and camerawork. Monkey Man It’s a great action movie in its own right.

Origin (Hulu)
The acclaimed biographical drama, directed by Ava DuVernay, was released five months after its theatrical release. origin Following poor box office results worldwide, the aim is to appeal to a wider audience.
Aunjanuh Ellis-Taylor plays Isabel Wilkerson, the first black journalist to win a Pulitzer Prize for investigative work. The film is one of Hulu’s new releases for June. origin It follows Wilkerson on her travels around the world as she writes her second book. Caste: The Origin of Our Discontentswas published in August 2020 while grappling with personal tragedy.
On Rotten Tomatoes, it has an 82% rating from critics and a 97% rating from audiences. origin It’s clearly a film more people should see, and since it’s available on Hulu (US), there’s no excuse not to check it out – it’s one of the films we’ll be adding to our best Hulu movies guide in the near future.
