I4g instances offer the best compute price performance for storage-optimized EC2 instances and the best storage performance per TB for Graviton-based storage instances.
I4g instances are based on AWS Nitro SSDs custom-built by AWS and Graviton2 processors that reduce both latency and delay variation, delivering the best compute cost performance in a storage-optimized instance. I4g instances are ideal for workloads that run a mix of random read/write operations and require very low I/O latency and high computing performance, such as transactional databases (Amazon DynamoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL), real-time databases, etc. Optimized for.
