AMAZON has made it even easier for customers to do their errands.
The e-commerce giant has announced its latest feature that allows customers to fulfill their food orders up to a week in advance.
Amazon Fresh users can now specify the time they would like their groceries to be picked up or delivered.
The seamless scheduling feature comes after Amazon Fresh stores underwent significant changes to compete with other grocery chains.
Back in November, Amazon launched free pickup and grocery delivery for non-Prime members.
Going forward, customers who order groceries from the company will notice even more perks.
regular reservations
A new recurring reservation feature allows customers to automatically reserve their groceries when they want to pick them up.
Users can select a time up to 7 days in advance.
Booking notifications will be sent 2 days and 1 hour before your package arrives.
Shoppers only need to pay at checkout and can change or cancel their orders at any time.
Amazon spokeswoman Kim Kornfeld told the US Sun that Amazon’s subscription feature works in about 1,300 cities and towns across the United States.
The goal is to make the shopping experience more seamless and convenient for consumers.
Repeat item
Amazon Fresh users can also add any items to their delivery before the delivery person starts picking up the groceries.
Additionally, the repeat item feature allows consumers to control the quantity and frequency of items they add to their cart each week.
“For example, a customer can receive milk once a week or six apples every two weeks, and those will be automatically added to their cart on their schedule,” Kornfeld said.
“These features are perfect for busy shoppers looking to streamline their weekly shopping and ensure they never miss a favorite meal.”
He also said the new features will streamline last-minute shopping for customers.
Amazon offers free delivery of Amazon Fresh orders to Prime members through the Amazon Prime subscription service.
Some users criticized the company, with some threatening to boycott the package after it didn’t arrive on time.
They posted their grievances on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“How long will it be before people realize that Amazon Prime deliveries rarely take two days anymore and that they’re basically lucky to even receive a package at this point?” they wrote.
“Decline is everywhere and in everything.”
Another user specifically called out Amazon Fresh about the failed delivery and tagged the account in the post.
“I placed the order just to let you guys know that the delivery would be delayed, but even though I was told it was already on the way, you guys never showed up and the delivery was delayed until the next day. Do not change it between 10pm and 12am,” the user said.
