Southern California is home to several iconic landmarks. Of course, there’s also the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where some of the greatest celebrities of past and present generations are immortalized with their stars. This is essentially Cooperstown for actors, actresses, and musicians.
Santa Monica Pier also features daily rides, games, and buskers to entertain visitors. However, one of his most famous landmarks around Los Angeles is the Hollywood sign. This 45-foot letter of his on the outskirts of Burbank is a reminder of the glitz and glamor of a film industry rooted throughout the Southern California foothills.
A die-hard Los Angeles Angels fan decided to pay homage to the greatest player in team history by heading to Tempe, Arizona with his own version of the Hollywood sign. On the other side of the outfield fence at Diablo Stadium was the word “TROUT.”
It’s not as big as the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, but one of Mike Trout’s biggest fans was at the venue during the club’s spring training game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday, with the All-Star sign just outside the Angels’ spring training facility. He held up his name proudly.
An anonymous fan fully demonstrates his craftsmanship, Trout himself didn’t realize it either.. The three-time MVP commented on the post on his own social media accounts, saying, “I love it” with his hands up emoji.
However, I have to say that the sign itself was a little slanted. Fan’s Trout sign was installed on top of a hill and sloped downward. Angels fans are hoping this sign isn’t a sign of things to come in 2024. Trout has endured several injury-plagued seasons in the past, so here’s hoping this failure was due to uneven groundwork and not what fans expected. The upcoming season.
The Los Angeles Angels have dealt with enough bad news this offseason.Shohei Ohtani left for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Arte Moreno is hanging on (much to the chagrin of the fan base), and newly signed relievers. Robert Stevenson is suffering from a shoulder injury. The Angels are looking for something to break their path.
