The staff of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM The anime sequel film announced on Monday that 126,831 tickets for the movie had been sold from Friday to Sunday for a total of 226,056,700 yen (approximately US$1.5 million). Currently, the number of tickets sold is 2,075,752, and the cumulative sales amount is 3,485,058,910 yen (approximately 23.16 million USD).
Staff also announced that participating theaters will begin distributing the sixth round of gifts to audiences starting this Friday. While supplies last, moviegoers will receive a set of “Tane Chara” stickers (previewed above) drawn by the artist’s girlfriend As’Maria.

It is also the highest grossing film at the Japanese box office so far this year.
The film is being shown in 354 theaters nationwide, and from February 9th, 4DX, MX4D, and Dolby Cinema screenings have been added.
