A low-profile leaker with a very good track record has detailed what they believe is Apple’s entire iPad chip plan and what chips they expect to be in the iPhone 16.
Using iPad Pro and Apple Pencil
Data spans multiple posts and products. Detailed codenames for iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro in one post.
To avoid exposing leakers whose following lists are very short and whose posts are protected, we pulled the text directly from their posts. The first column is the chip identifier, and her third number associated with each device is the internal code name, which in some cases you have seen before.

- t8101 0x1A j382ap
The t8101 processor is the A14 Bionic, which was first released in September 2020. The leaker doesn’t refer to these identifiers as the 11th generation iPad, so it’s unclear what they are.
It’s unclear why Apple would release an 11th generation iPad with the A14 again, considering it already had that processor in its last iPad Pro-style redesigned refresh.
It’s possible to refresh the internals of the 9th generation model that retains the A14’s Touch ID, but it seems unlikely. Perhaps the remaining primary clients for this iPad, educational institutions, may be asking for it.
2024 iPad mini
- t8130 0x08 j410ap
- t8130 0x0A j411ap
Apple’s t8130 is an A17 chip. This is a notable update from the existing model A15.
2024 iPad Air
- t8112 0x10 j507ap
- t8112 0x12 j508ap
- t8112 0x14 j537ap
- t8112 0x16 j538ap
The T8112 processor is the M2 chip currently found in the iPad Pro series.
OLED iPad Pro
- t8132 0x08 j717ap
- t8132 0x0A j718ap
- t8132 0x0C j720ap
- t8132 0x0E j721ap
The T8132 is likely the M3 for the iPad, as has been rumored for a while.
The second post summarizes what to expect from the iPhone 16 family of devices. As in recent years, they expect four models of him.

The T8140 processor is unknown, but it’s probably the A18 chip expected this year. If this report is correct, all of Apple’s flagship products will once again be powered by the same processor, despite what Apple has done in the past few releases.Report by mcroomers According to Friday’s information, a leaker said the pro model will have a fully functional chip, while the non-pro model will have a binned version with fewer CPUs and performance cores.
The iPad Pro and iPad Air refresh is expected to occur at an event or press release sometime in March. iPhone 16 is apparently expected to arrive in the fall of 2024.
The iPad mini’s schedule is less certain. There are rumors that it will be held in the spring, and some rumors that it will be held in the fall.
As far as the leaker’s accuracy is concerned, they kept quiet and stayed safe after announcing something noteworthy years ago. Since then, they have been posting exact build numbers hours before beta and sometimes days before release.
