Arnold Schwarzenegger cast Sylvester Stallone in lead role in movie flop

Arnold and Sly sat together. harvey A candid and sometimes surprising conversation about the bitter rivalry between two blockbuster action stars.

Sly was stunned when Arnold explained how he had gotten his now good friend to appear on Stop! Or Mommy Will Shoot You. Arnold knew the script was terrible, but he had heard that Sly had some interest in it. So Arnold thought that if he felt Sly wanted the role, Sly would jump at it.

So Arnold calls his agent, who in turn tells Sly’s agent that AS is very interested. Arnold then secretly called the director and expressed interest, something Sly had never known before.

Well, long story short, Sly jumped in and took the role, and even though the movie was a huge flop, it was exactly what Arnold wanted. And Sly is not shy about saying he was played.
