Anything else new? It looks like at least half of this season’s schedule will be effectively in a bubble. astronaut Of course this is no exception. The first EP didn’t click for me, the second EP was much better, and the third EP was somewhere in between. The series does a solid job of channeling Rumiko and her signature 90s romantic style, so there’s a lot to like here. But at this point I still can’t shake off the vibe of imitation (and to be honest, I’m only modestly curious about the kind of series this work imitates).
This week, Shoin Ginger shakes up the routine more than anything else. However, he is Mira’s childhood friend and not her actual fiance – that’s what they say anyway. They have a bit of a lovey-dovey vibe to them. He came to Earth to warn her about spies from the planet Hubby, but of course Mila already knew about it. Naosuke doesn’t really like Shoin, but the trend here is clear, with a salty attitude toward men who are friendly to his mistress.
Speaking of Naosuke, Ren-kun seems to have noticed that something is wrong. I’m correct about the theory that Ren is “pretending to be a dog,” but I don’t think I understand the details yet. Ren is busy this week as his plot moves his B part. He is on a field trip to Enoshima, but he is depressed. This is because his parents don’t prepare luxurious lunches like other children’s. Takumi, of course, offers to intervene himself, but his initial efforts are stolen by Astrolodge’s food felon (apparently Hub, but some speculate that he’s a ghost).
What I found really interesting about the whole Enoshima incident was that Takumi offered no resistance until the car, which was clearly not the 2024 Earth Car (Shoin’s car), retracted its wheels and took off in pursuit of the stealing robot bird. is. It’s also interesting to note that Japan is number one in terms of fiercely aggressive kites (small birds of prey) that steal food from human hands. And Enoshima is especially notorious for that kind of thing.
In a logical world, Zig would obviously correspond to the whole alien thing as far as Takumi is concerned. But here? He ignores everything (his subsequent actions suggest he already had) and focuses more on the perceived threat that Shoin is showing to Mira’s seemingly hopeless pursuit. I wouldn’t be shocked if I guess. At some point she’ll have to make a fuss and join the whole AN gang to find the key and fight the hubs, but I don’t feel like we’ve reached that stage of the story yet.
