Comic book artist channels and legacies
Potter uploaded nearly 4,000 videos in total to YouTube, and shared his final post just one day before his death, titled “Why a DC reboot is better than Marvel.”
Natalie said her spouse “was my world”, adding:
“I need time to spend with my friends and family. There is much that needs to be resolved, but first I need to grieve. I ask that everyone respect my privacy as well as everyone else’s. My top priority right now is protecting everything he has built and I have no plans beyond that.
“His channel was one of his greatest achievements and we all need time to mourn him, but I know he wouldn’t want it to end like this.”
Potter began his career on YouTube over 10 years ago, gaining a large, famous following along the way.
For example, O’Shea Jackson Jr., the son of Ice Cube and Kimberly Woodruff, was among those who paid tribute to Potter upon learning of his passing.
“Prayers to his loved ones. Long live Ben Potter,” Jackson Jr. wrote online. “Stay well everyone. Hold your loved ones tight. I hope to see you soon.”
Meanwhile, Natalie assured her followers that her husband’s channel will continue.
“My team and I want to keep doing this, honoring him by continuing to tell great stories by great people, while also keeping the memory of our superheroes alive,” she concluded. “We’ve supported each other in everything we want to do, and I have no plans to stop now.”
May Ben Potter rest in peace.
