Black Panther is one of the most anticipated titles to be released by Electronic Arts in the near future. The game is being developed by Cliffhanger Games, a new studio in Seattle, but it has yet to prove itself. However, there are high hopes that his upcoming Black Panther game will do just that. Not much is known about the title in development, but recent job postings point to a strong, almost irrefutable nod to the game, which boasts an open-world sandbox setting.

In a recent job listing posted by Electronic Arts, the team at Cliffhanger Studio is looking for a “Principal Sandbox Designer” to step up to work on the Black Panther theme. This is a particularly interesting post as it makes some mention of the immersive open world environment being created as the basis for Black Panther.
- “…helps design and implement encounters, systems, and gameplay in a dynamic, evolving open world.”
- “…a mechanism that contributes to a rich sandbox environment.”
- “…Contribute to a vibrant game world.”
That alone is enough to make Marvel fans sit back. Black Panther is an open-world game where you can explore the vast beauty of Wakanda. Not only that, but it’s written as a “living” world that continues to evolve and be dynamic as players explore it. The project is being helmed by Kevin Stevens, who worked on Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War, a fantastic open-world duo at the heart of the Lord of the Rings series, so expectations are high.
