Fans are disappointed after director Quentin Tarantino reportedly decided to “scramble” his last and final film, The Film Critic. Brad Pitt was reported to be playing the role, but he will no longer bring his signature deadpan wit to the screen. According to sources cited by The Hollywood Reporter, the filmmakers were scheduled to begin filming the long-awaited feature this year, but have now backed out.
Quentin Tarantino’s last movie “Scrap”
On April 17, Human Resources reported that Tarantino was postponing his final project for several months. The film, set in California in 1977, was supposed to be his tenth feature film. However, sources close to him say the writer is no longer interested in rewriting or reviving the film, and instead plans to bring something new to the table.

Brad Pitt will no longer play Cliff Booth
Before Tarantino “cancelled” his ultimate project, he was first influenced by a cynical film critic he admired as a teenager. But sources say the idea is centered around Brad Pitt’s Oscar-winning role as stuntman Cliff Booth in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It is said that it was changed to be installed. Tarantino praised Pitt as “one of the last surviving big-screen movie stars.”
Previously, during the Cannes Film Festival, the director spoke briefly about the film, saying: [anything] Until I saw the movie. I’m tempted to do some character monologues now, but I’m not going to do that. It might have been better if there were fewer video cameras. All you have to do is wait. ”

In addition to Pitt’s casting, the project had already received a $20 million tax break from the California state government. It’s unclear what made him change his mind or what he’ll tackle next. When he turned down another R-rated movie, Star Trek, in 2019, he said he wanted to focus on a “smaller group of people” rather than a “massive audience.”
