NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) – Ralph and Pat Plumb, owners of Newport’s Brick Alley Pub, have entered into a deal to sell the restaurant to Heritage Restaurant Group, according to a release.
“The time we have spent as business owners here in Newport over the past 43 and a half years has been one of our greatest joys. We have served many wonderful customers over the years. , many of whom have become lifelong friends, and the same can be said about our wonderful team over the years,” the Plums magazine statement reads. .
This Newport landmark has been named both “Best Restaurant” and “Best Bar” in the state.
“Retirement is never an easy decision to make, but we feel very fortunate that Brick Alley’s next owners have retained the entire team, some of whom have been with Brick Alley for over 20 years. That includes their son Matt, who is also part of the team,” they added.
Heritage Restaurant Group plans to have all current employees remain at the restaurant.
