Washington – Business Roundtable today announced the hiring of Will Anderson as Vice President of Corporate Governance, effective February 26, 2024. Mr. Anderson most recently served as Staff Director of the Capital Markets Subcommittee of the House Committee on Financial Services.

As vice president of corporate governance, Mr. Anderson will report to Kristen Silverberg, president and chief operating officer (COO), and will oversee corporate governance policy and advocacy.
During his tenure as a staff director, he managed all aspects of capital markets policy, including oversight of organizations such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, and self-regulatory organizations such as the financial industry. . Regulatory authority. He played a pivotal role in shaping the Commission’s capital formation agenda and led the Environment, Social and Governance Working Group.
Mr. Anderson joined Business Roundtable in 2017 as Policy Director with a focus on corporate governance. He then served as Vice President of Technology and Innovation. Prior to joining Roundtable, Anderson served as a senior associate at Patomac Global Partners LLC, advising global financial institutions on corporate governance matters. Previously, he worked as an advisor to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Law Reform Institute.
Anderson holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law. During his law school years, he clerked for the U.S. Treasury Department’s Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. He graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
