Cheryl Burke recently addressed the theme of “showmance” during her tenure as a professional partner on Dancing with the Stars. When she appeared on the Amy & TJ podcast, she revealed on the show that she has had several romantic relationships with celebrity partners.

Although Burke did not feel the need to keep these relationships secret, he refrained from revealing the names of all but one of his showman partners. She mentioned former pro football player Chad Ochocinco Johnson, with whom she shared a romantic relationship during season 10. Burke recalled that Johnson expressed his love for her on the Ellen DeGeneres show, and although the two exchanged gifts, including a $10,000 ring, she revealed that they were not engaged. That’s what it means.
During his time on the show, Burke performed The Showman a total of three times. She explained that the intense and intimate nature of her ballroom dancing and spending seven days a week together often creates a strong emotional connection between her partners. Even though she tried to turn one of these romances into something serious, it didn’t work out as expected.
Beyond her DWTS experience, Burke’s personal life has also been in the spotlight following her divorce from Matthew Lawrence in 2022. However, she is open to the idea of her future marriage and emphasizes the importance of finding her safe partner. She is growth oriented and interested in her life’s journey.
