Claudia Winkleman has reportedly signed on to host a celebrity version of The Traitors in 2025.
Following the success of the first two seasons, a celebrity version of the hit reality show is in the works, according to Deadline.
Winkleman, who starred in both seasons, is reportedly set to return as host of the celebrity edition, which is scheduled to air in 2025.
Sources said the BBC and executives at Studio Lambert, which produces the show, were close to reaching an agreement. If the deal goes through, Celebrity Traitors would film next year and air after the main show’s third season.
The news has yet to be confirmed, but Studio Lambert boss Stephen Lambert said in an interview with the News Agent podcast earlier this year that the celebrity version was “obviously a possibility”.
Studio Lambert produces both the UK and US versions of The Traitors. While the British show has previously featured only civilians, the American series has already featured celebrities. While the first season featured a mix of reality TV personalities and everyday people, the line-up for the second season includes celebrities such as former Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow and Love Islander’s Ekin-Su Chulçulol. It was only.
Both versions are filmed in the same Scottish castle, but the US series is hosted by Alan Cumming.
Traitors follows contestants divided into Faithfuls and Traitors. The faithful must identify the traitor before they can “kill” him.
