ConverseNow, the leading voice AI technology platform, today announced it has acquired Valyant AI, a pioneer in restaurant drive-thru automation technology. The strategic combination will accelerate ConverseNow’s growth in drive-thru and further the companies’ shared mission to revolutionize the quick service restaurant (QSR) industry by providing unparalleled, affordable AI solutions that improve guest experience and operational efficiencies.

Founded in 2018, Valyant AI is currently the only company deploying true voice AI in drive-thru restaurants, with approved customers including chains such as CKE and Checkers. The company’s robust AI voice assistant, Holly, integrates directly through its proprietary hardware into existing drive-thru communications systems such as PAR, HME and POS systems from Brink, Xenial, NCR, Aloha, Oracle Microsystems and more.
The transaction will see Valyant AI’s entire team and technology join the ConverseNow family, the leading provider of AI voice ordering assistants in the QSR sector, enabling the two companies to offer an integrated service leveraging joint expertise, shared data and technology infrastructure.

With best-in-class conversational intelligence, ConverseNow’s AI-powered virtual ordering assistant replicates natural human conversation to gauge customer sentiment and guide the conversation. It detects nuances, predicts ordering behavior, and maximizes revenue by upselling items based on contextual data and information available in real time. The cloud-based, multilingual solution personalizes restaurant orders across high-volume voice channels including phone, drive-thru, self-service kiosks, and voice-assisted chat on mobile devices.
The acquisition will not only accelerate ConverseNow’s drive-thru rollout, but also bring new technology capabilities such as an AI employee-assisted product. This voice-driven, generative AI training application allows restaurant staff to ask a voice assistant questions while they work and receive instant responses hands-free. The solution will be available at the table and integrated into the drive-thru communication system and is expected to be rolled out by the end of the quarter. Valyant AI has already piloted the solution with select brands and proven its effectiveness, and will now be able to roll it out at scale.

For the time being, both companies will continue to serve customers under their respective brands and benefit from increased resources and technology expertise. ConverseNow and Valyant AI customers will continue to receive uninterrupted service.
