Action screenwriters Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec are headed to Disneyland.

Jonathan Eyrich of Ride Back, the banner behind Netflix’s hit live-action film Avatar: The Last Airbender The series produces the feature, which has been in development for several years, with Safehouse’s Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell. Harold was the previous writer on this project. Rideback’s Ryan Halprin will serve as executive producer.
Space Mountain is a venerable space-themed indoor roller coaster that was first introduced at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in 1975, followed by Disneyland in California in 1977. As other parks opened, it became a permanent fixture in the Tomorrowland section, and now he has five of his six parks around the world.
This ride doesn’t have an overarching theme or memorable characters like those found in rides like Pirates of the Caribbean. In fact, Disneyland’s Space Mountain can transform into Hyperspace Mountain, giving it a Star Wars look. As such, the story is entirely inspired by vehicles.
