A football star filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against a very famous Hollywood actor after a contract fell through.
The retired sports star paid tribute to his wife of almost 25 years by posting a video montage accompanied by the Bee Gees’ More Than a Woman.
His company DB Ventures Ltd has reported that the Hollywood star claims he “tricked” the English football legend into working with F45. Sun.
Mr. Beckham, 48, agreed to become the company’s global ambassador when he moved to Los Angeles, where he befriended Mr. Wahlberg, 52.
He is also suing Adam Gilchrist and Rob Deutsch, founders of the actor’s company Mark Wahlberg Investment Group (MWIG) and gym group F45.
He claims the shares he was promised were held up until after the stock price crashed, causing him to lose more than $16.4 million.
Wahlberg and his co-defendants asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit, arguing that the allegations of “misconduct” were baseless.
The defendants’ motion to dismiss further states that DBVL is blaming everyone but themselves, adding: [complaint] It tries to make up for what it lacks in length with length.
Initially, Beckham teamed up with golf legend Greg Norman, who also had complaints about F45, but a judge later told them both would have to litigate separately.
The former Man United and Real Madrid ace lived in the same Beverly Hills area as Wahlberg when he moved to Los Angeles with Victoria in 2007 and became close friends with Wahlberg.
