Lucky appears to be on a deep journey to combat the despair of loneliness that comes with aging by learning to accept the friendship of others, where love and affection are the antidote to entropy. But in the end, entropy wins. In his final speech to the bar’s patrons, Lucky concludes that all that humans are and possess will ultimately amount to nothing, and when one sees this, one must smile.
