Another important role of James Gunn Superman Pa Kent has been cast for the upcoming DC Universe movie.
The Wrap reports that Pruitt Taylor Vince has been cast as Jonathan “Pa” Kent, Kal-El/Clark Kent’s adoptive father, in Superman. This isn’t technically his first time appearing in a DC project, as he played the role of Father Hennessy in the 2005 film Constantine. On the Marvel side, he played a character named Grill in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Other actors who have played Pa Kent include Kevin Costner from the DCEU film Man of Steel, Glenn Ford from the 1978 film Superman, and John Schneider from the TV series Smallville. is included.
