Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020 in Mumbai. He was found hanging in his apartment in Bandra. Immediately after his untimely death, many conspiracy theories and gossip were spread on the Internet. Dibakar Banerjee was unhappy with the reports on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Dibakar Banerjee said that he stopped watching the news because the only thing that was talked about was the cause of his death. She added: “There was no one around to mourn him. All I could see were people trying to find out some spicy gossip. Therefore, I had to run away from the situation. No one said ‘Sushant is gone’. Despite his outsider status, no one talked about how he ended up acting on television and eventually making his film debut. ”
Dibakar Banerjee said his fans wished he would have organized a special screening of Sushant Singh Rajput’s film. He said, “Everyone was just speculating about the conspiracy of who drugged Sushant and who killed him. Where is that memorial service? Where is the retrospective of his films?” Sushant Singh Rajput is a gateway to misery.”
