MARION, N.C. (WLOS) — Business owners are losing their marbles after a spate of crime on East Court Street in Marion.

Kaylin Fairchild, an employee at Backyard Creations, asked, “If someone’s doing it just for the sake of it, why not?”
Marion Police Chief Allen Lawrence said a preliminary investigation shows marbles were fired at multiple Marion businesses and some windows were broken.
“It could have been thrown, but I highly doubt it. I feel like it probably came from something propelling it with enough force to break the window,” Lawrence said. said.
