Leading streaming service Disney+, which streams some major anime titles specifically on the platform, plans to introduce password sharing in a bid to convert its large user base into paying subscribers. Rollout is expected to begin as early as this summer.
This month, Deadline reported on Disney CEO Bob Iger’s latest timeline for introducing password sharing, in line with major competitor Netflix. “In June, we plan to launch our first serious efforts in password sharing,” Iger said. “It will launch in a few countries, a few markets, but then it will grow significantly with full rollout in September.” I look forward to it,” he added.
