Phantasmus (2024)

Follow Julio Torres, the writer, comedian and actor. He is Saturday Night Live As co-creator of the HBO series Los Espukisa bizarre journey through an alternate version of New York. Torres Phantasmus But he also created, directed and wrote the comedy.
This quirky story follows his adventures in search of his lost golden oyster earrings and the quirky characters he meets along the way. The show also stars guest actors such as Paul Dano, Jaboukie Young-White, and Steve Buscemi, as well as Julia Fox, Emma Stone, and Bowen Yang.
Early reviews of the first few episodes have been positive. Robert Lloyd of the Los Angeles Times praised the show for telling many different stories in different genres, from horror to film noir to traditional TV comedy, all somehow coming together at the end. Bill Goodykoontz of the Arizona Republic said the show is perfect for people who complain that there’s nothing weird on TV anymore. “It’s a kaleidoscope of ideas, quirks and notions,” he explains.

My Lady Jane (2024)

If you missed the following shows: Dickinson, My Lady Jane might be the perfect alternative. This British series tells the story of Jane Grey (Emily Bader), a young woman living in the 16th century, who embarks on a thrilling adventure full of romance and dream fulfillment. Based on the book of the same name, it is an alternative retelling of the history of the English royal family. Instead of being accused and murdered soon after ascending to the throne, Grey, the great-granddaughter of Henry VII, rises to the challenge and survives and thrives on her own terms.
Bader is played by Edward Bluemel (Killing Eve), Dominic Cooper as Lord Guilford Dudley (Preacher) plays Lord Seymour. If you like another reinterpretation of history that pushes the envelope, My Lady Jane It’s a tragedy turned upside down. The first 15 seconds of the trailer give you a good idea of the vibe: “History will remember Jane as the ultimate damsel in distress,” the voiceover advises. “Known for her death, not her life. And that’s no big deal.”

After these events, he moves to Miami and runs the Mutiny Hotel, which is also the center of the cocaine industry.
The story is told over eight episodes and is set in the disco era of the late 70s and early 80s. Hotel Cocaine The film contrasts the glamour of the time with the darker side of criminal underworld. Everyone from businessmen and politicians to models, athletes and musicians visit the lavish establishment to soak up the lifestyle under the close watch of CIA and FBI agents. Chiklis plays Agent Zullio, a man determined to eradicate drug trafficking for good and willing to do whatever it takes to do so.
