After first seeing this feature at the InterContinental New York Times Square, we predicted that AirPlay in hotel rooms would be a game-changer for frequent business travelers who want to personalize their hotel stays.
For better or worse, traveling takes us out of our apartments and homes and into hotel rooms that don’t really feel like home. Your hotel room TV isn’t loaded with your favorite shows or viewing history yet. , it couldn’t be easier to connect to a sound system to relax while listening to your favorite songs after a long day.
With IHG’s AirPlay, guests can use their iPhone or iPad’s camera to scan a “Connect and Stream” QR code on a hotel’s LG TV, which will take them to the Wi-Fi connection page and allow them to connect to their room’s network.
