Eric Church and Morgan Wallen are part of the acquired and relaunched group field & stream, an outdoor lifestyle brand. The group purchased the retail side of the trademark from Dick’s Sporting Goods and the media platform from Recurrent, uniting the brands under the same ownership for the first time in its 150-year history.
The church said: “I remember my grandfather keeping some of his favorite Field & Stream magazines on the dashboard of his truck,” Church says. “That truck took us on hundreds of outdoor adventures, and I pretty much memorized every story and every photo on every page. They were my bible. It is the honor of my life to ensure that tradition continues. This responsibility is also a responsibility to the boy in his daddy’s truck, the symbol of America and the compass that guides our steps.”
Warren added: “There’s nothing I love more than spending time with friends around a campfire, on a boat, or in a deer stand. Field & Stream represents all of that to me. Being able to be a part of that future is a great thing and we want to continue to bring people together outdoors and create memories for generations to come.”
The relaunch includes the announcement of the Field & Stream 1871 Club digital platform, a limited edition apparel collection inspired by Church and Warren, and an outdoor music festival co-produced with Southern Entertainment this fall.
The new Field & Stream brand will be led by Doug McNamee, former president of Magnolia, the media and lifestyle brand co-founded by Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines. McNamee said: “We are committed to strengthening Field & Stream’s legendary status as an authoritative voice for the American outdoors. We look forward to managing towards and uniting passionate enthusiasts under one canopy. As the newest member of the lineage of managers, we look forward to working with our large storytelling family. , aims to restore and amplify the authentic voices of Field & Stream.”
