‘Fallout’ is great, but Amazon made a big mistake

Joining her is Maximus (Aaron Clifton Moten), a power-armored follower of the Brotherhood of Steel, a secret organization that roams the country in search of lost technology. Maximus is just as green as Lucy, taking on a quest for which he is not very prepared.

Finally, rounding out the main trio is Walton Goggins as Ghoul, a gunslinging bounty hunter and mutant who has lived for over 200 years. Through numerous flashbacks, we learn more about his past as celebrity Cooper Howard.

I won’t spoil any more in this review. Once I finish reading the entire series, I will post a follow-up with spoilers. For now, I would just recommend anyone who is still on the fence to give this series a try. It’s a very fun game with plenty of humor, action, and mystery, and the creators have clearly put a lot of effort into staying true to the game’s world while being original with the storytelling.

Amazon’s failure

My only issue with this show is that it will soon disappear from the public conversation entirely thanks to Amazon releasing all eight episodes at once to Prime Video. I know a lot of people like to binge-watch TV these days, but releasing everything at once would really be a huge disservice to the show, its creators, cast, and fans. Amazon often releases some episodes at once and airs the rest weekly.

In the Netflix model, most of the time a show gets talked about for a week or two and then disappears completely.
