Friday, singer Taylor Momsen Shared Instagram Video She was photographed on Wednesday capturing the moment she was bitten by a bat while opening for rock band AC/DC on their Power Up tour.
“So… a rock n’ roll moment… on Wednesday in Seville while playing ‘Witches Burn’… a bat 🦇🦇 flew onto me and latched onto my leg… I was in the middle of playing so didn’t even notice until the massive crowd kept screaming and pointing…” she captioned the post.
In the video, MomsenThe 30-year-old was on stage with her band during a performance at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville, Spain, when the bat accidentally fell on her foot.
“You guys are pointing at things and I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Momsen can be heard telling the crowd in the video during her performance of “Witches Burn.”
Seconds later, she suddenly noticed a winged mammal clinging to her leg.
“I have a bat flying at my leg right now, can someone help me?” she said into the microphone, as several assistants approached her to try and remove the bat.
While she didn’t bite the head off a bat, as Osbourne did in a performance more than 40 years ago, the former “Gossip Girl” cast member got through the gaffe without missing a beat.
“I must really be a witch,” she jokingly told the audience as she continued her performance, “It’s okay, the bat is fine too. He’s going to be my new friend.”
Momsen wrote in the caption of her post that the dog was taken to hospital to treat the bite and to receive a rabies vaccination.
“He was cute but he did bite me…so I have to get my rabies shot in the next 2 weeks,” she wrote on Instagram.
The musician also thanked hospital staff who “called her ‘Batgirl'” after seeing the incident on the local news.
Momsen’s 2 million followers rushed to the comments section to chime in about the wild moment.
“This is the most rock n’ roll witchy thing that has ever happened and I’m obsessed 🦇 (and glad you’re safe!),” one person wrote.
When another user asked if the bite hurt, Momsen replied, “Bite? It didn’t hurt. Injection? It hurt 🙏❤️.”
Another person joked that Osborne was “proud” of his encounter with the bat.
