A direct rival to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ has launched in the UK, and it’s completely free to use, with no costs incurred when signing up.

Now a new streaming service is launching to compete directly with existing platforms, and one of its big selling points is that it’s free to use.
What is Tubi?
Tubi was launched in the UK by Rupert Murdoch’s Fox Corporation – you may be familiar with the Murdoch name as the Australian owns The Sun and The Times newspapers.
In the US, Tubi claims to have around 80 million monthly active users. With a US population of 333 million, this represents nearly a quarter of all residents.
Tubi is an ad-supported streaming service, meaning it’s free, making it a direct rival to the likes of ITVX and Channel 4.
What can I watch on Tubi in the UK?
The service launches in the UK today (2 July) and offers more than 20,000 movies and TV episodes on demand, including content from Disney, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal and Sony Pictures Entertainment, as well as a host of Tubi originals.
The library will include Hollywood movies and British TV series, as well as content from India’s Bollywood and Nigeria’s Nollywood.
