TL;DR
- Google is widely rolling out at-a-glance directions for its Maps app.
- This feature is available on Android and iOS.
- To start using it, you must first turn on the settings.
Google Maps is even more useful on your lock screen. The app now has a new setting: “See directions at a glance while navigating.”
Back in February 2023, Google announced that it would be adding at-a-glance directions to its Maps app on both Android and iOS. This feature allows Android owners to not only see where they’re headed, but also get all the live ETAs from their lock screen.[開始]It also works on the route overview screen without pressing . Google Maps on iPhone, on the other hand, uses iOS Live Activity for this feature.
The feature was scheduled to be rolled out globally in June 2023, but it may have only been available to some users. However, now it seems that anyone can use it.
It was first discovered that android police, the feature now appears to be widely rolling out to users of Android version 11.116 and iOS 6.104.2. I was also able to confirm that my device had a settings toggle as shown below.

The toggle is off by default, so you need to enable the setting. To do this, go to Settings and scroll down to Navigation Settings. Move just below the map display to find your route at a glance.
