GM Business™ MasterCard® Overview
The GM Business Card provides good value for businesses with General Motors vehicles, but not much value for others. You enjoy a healthy rate of return with no annual fee, but minimal perks and redemption options for those who don’t spend a lot on GM. Card rating*: ⭐⭐⭐½

If you’re a business owner who owns a vehicle as part of your business, you may have considered getting a GM business card. On the other hand, this card earns bonus benefits on General Motors purchases as well as gas stations, restaurants, and office supply stores. On the other hand, the rewards can only be used to purchase or lease his GM vehicle.
If you’re spending a lot of money on a GM vehicle, you may be able to get solid value from the card’s welcome offer and earning percentage. However, if that’s not the case, then this card is not for you.
This card has limited benefits compared to its competitors, with no perks like lounge access or annual credits. Its benefits are also less flexible than its competitors, and you can’t use your benefits for general purchases or move them to transfer partners.
The GM Business Card has no annual fee and a recommended credit score of 670. Now let’s take a closer look at the card details.

GM Business Card Welcome Offer
With the GM Business Card, you’ll earn a $750 sign-up bonus in bonus income redeemable at GM after you spend $5,000 in the first five months of account opening.
That’s a good return for a no-annual-fee business card, but you’d do even better if you offered a more general card. Also, if you don’t spend much money at GM, $750 to redeem with the company won’t do you much good.

GM Business Card Benefits
The GM Business Card doesn’t have many fancy perks, but you do enjoy standard protections like rental insurance, identity theft protection, and no liability for unauthorized purchases.
You also get personalized support from GM’s Business Assistant Concierge, a $0 annual fee and no foreign transaction or cash advance fees.
These are standard business card perks, but certainly nothing impressive. Unlike many of our favorite business cards, this card doesn’t come with any annual credits or free memberships to services, GM-related or otherwise. If you want more valuable perks, you may want to consider another card.

Earn benefits with your GM Business Card
The GM Business Card earns you 5% back on parts or services at GM dealers. 3% back at gas stations, restaurants, and office supply stores. All other products will receive a 1% rebate.
Again, a solid rate if you spend a lot of money at GM, but unremarkable if you don’t take advantage of the 5% bonus category. The 3% gain category is great, but you can get the same (or higher) gain percentage on cards with lots of more general benefits.
For example, the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card earns unlimited 1.5% cash back on every business purchase and has no annual fee. Plus, cashback rewards are more flexible and can be turned into travel rewards with the right card combination.
Redeem benefits with your GM Business Card
It’s important to note that benefits earned with the GM Business Card can only be used to purchase or lease eligible GM vehicles, including Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac.
This is a very narrow redemption option, and the card is only available to businesses that own multiple GM vehicles (or are in the market for GM vehicles). The good news is that these benefits never expire on active accounts in good standing, so you can save up your points for your next big GM purchase.
But again, this is a much less flexible option than any business card on the market. Like many people, I don’t own a GM vehicle to maintain. That’s why I prefer using cards like Ink Business Cash to earn flexible cashback rewards.

Are GM business cards worth it?
Although redemption options are very limited, the GM Business Card makes sense for businesses looking to earn rewards towards future big GM purchases. However, most people can get much better value with a different credit card.
conclusion
Business owners can use this card’s rate of return to pay for a vehicle while enjoying several standard benefits with no annual fee. But again, unless you regularly spend a lot of money on GM cars, you’re better off using a regular business card that lets you earn cash back or travel rewards.
