Google Keep is very useful as a notes app, but it also has the ability to create reminders. It looks like Google Tasks will soon be able to import reminders from Keep.
About APK Insights: In this “APK Insight” post, we have decompiled the latest version of the application that Google has uploaded to the Play Store. When you decompile these files (called APKs for Android apps), you can see various lines of code that hint at future features. Please note that Google may or may not provide these features, and our interpretation of them may be incomplete. However, for those that are near completion, we will be able to show you what they will look like when shipped. Please keep that in mind as you read on.
Creating reminders in Google Keep is relatively easy. For any note, you can assign a date and time for the app to send you a notification to remind you of that note.it is far However, that’s the only place you can create reminders in your Google Account.
Google Tasks is an app that saves reminders created with Assistant, Calendar, etc., and it seems that reminders from Google Keep will be added soon.
The latest version of Google Tasks, v2024.04.08.624881071.1, adds a string that suggests the app can import tasks from Keep.this It shows Reminders from Keep will now say “Added to Tasks” and will be automated.
Reminder from Google Keep (%s) added to task
Additionally, the string indicates that tasks generated from Keep Notes are marked as such and that there is an option to open them from the Tasks app.

This integration between the two apps doesn’t imply anything will change on the Keep side, but cross-app support would likely be helpful. At the moment, reminders created in Tasks are more advanced than those in Keep, but Keep’s very simple features make it a little easier to jot down bits of information that you need to remember later.
However, it is unclear when this feature will be rolled out. In a quick test with this latest update, my tasks didn’t sync and I didn’t see any mention of getting reminders from Keep.
