Google recently updated its Meet app with the ability to add annotations during presentations. This new feature is enabled by default when a user starts a presentation.
A new annotation menu is now available in the Meet app that gives users access to various tools such as pens, disappearing ink, stickers, text boxes, and more. In addition to bringing this feature to Meet, Google also made it possible to assign co-annotators.
To add a co-annotator, go to the People panel or hover over the user’s video tile, select more options (three dots icon), and select the “Add as co-annotator” option .
According to Google, both annotation and collaborative annotation features will be available in the following Google Workspace editions:
- Business Starter, Standard, Plus
- Enterprise Starter, Standard, and Plus
- Front line starters and standards
- Essentials, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Essentials Plus
- Education Standard plus Teaching & Learning upgrade
- Workspace Individual Subscriber
