In addition to removing the VPN, Google One also removes the free shipping offer for prints from Google Photos.
One of the lesser-known features of Google Photos is the ability to make professional prints of your digital photos. This includes typical small prints as well as canvas prints, books, and more.
As a benefit of your Google One subscription, you now get free shipping on “select” prints through Google Photos. Google has never focused specifically on this perk for subscriptions, and even the shipping discounts are shown without any mention of them coming from One. So it’s very likely that people didn’t know about the discount in the first place.
But now Google has removed it.
Starting May 15th, Google One subscribers will no longer receive free shipping for prints from Google Photos. Along with mentioning the removal of Google One VPN, which was first announced last week, Google also announced changes to the emails it sends to subscribers.
With a focus on delivering the most in-demand features and benefits, we’re eliminating free shipping on some print orders from Google Photos (Canada, UK, US, EU) starting November 15th, and making VPN with Google One available this year. It will be abolished in the second half. Year. Pixel users will continue to enjoy being able to access her VPN from Google through Pixel settings if they have a Pixel 7 or newer model.
Generally speaking, this offer only saves you a few dollars on shipping, but it’s still a shame to see it go.
