Google has announced that it will end its Google One VPN service. The company notified Google One users of the service termination via email. One of our team members also received an email in which Google did not specify an exact end date for the Google One VPN service, but said the benefit would be phased out “later this year.” I did.

Google launched VPN with Google One as an alternative to other popular virtual private networks such as Nord VPN and Express VPN. Available on all Google One plans, including the lowest starting price of $1.99 per month.
Google said in an email that it is phasing out the Google One VPN to make way for more in-demand features and benefits.The company also acknowledged 9to5Google It said it was discontinuing the VPN feature because “people simply aren’t using it.” Existing users of the Service will be redirected to a third-party alternative service.
Meanwhile, Google says that if Pixel users have a Pixel 7 or newer model, they can access Google’s VPN through Pixel settings.
Additionally, starting May 15th, Google will discontinue free shipping for some print orders from Google Photos in Canada, the UK, the US, and the EU.
