Following last week’s announcement, Circle to Search is already rolling out to Pixel Fold.
Circle to Search began rolling out last Wednesday for the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7a, and Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series. Google said it will arrive after the Pixel Fold and Tablet.
The visual search experience with new introductory prompts is very easy, especially on the cover screen. However, CtS cannot be activated on the home screen of a foldable display (or Pixel Tablet) because the navigation bar is not visible. The search field doesn’t span the entire width of the inner screen, but the results sheet does span the entire width, making it look a little too stretched.
If you keep accidentally triggering,[設定]>[システム]>[ナビゲーション モード]>[ジェスチャー ナビゲーション]from[Circle to Search]can be disabled.
Circle to Search is going live this evening on the Pixel Fold updated to the April security patch, but not on the Pixel tablets we checked. This availability expansion actually should have been announced in the March feature drop for the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.
Meanwhile, Google has also rolled out a translate button next to the search bar on mobile phones. Translations replace the original text to preserve context. This has not yet appeared in the fold.
