Spotted: “Gossip Girl” alum Ed Westwick and fellow actor Amy Jackson engage in a romantic adventure thousands of feet in the air over the Swiss Alps.
The British actor proposed to the “Supergirl” star during a ski trip in Gstaad, Switzerland, popping the question atop the snow-covered suspension bridge Peak Walk.
The couple announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on Monday. Jackson, 31, captioned a photo of the high-altitude proposal: “Sure yes 💍,” while Westwick, 36, wrote “hit the jackpot xxx” on the photo and reposted it to her Instagram Story.
Representatives for Mr. Westwick and Mr. Jackson did not immediately respond to requests for further comment Monday.
The proposal comes as the pair work on their latest projects, Westwick's action thriller Deep Fear, which debuted on Netflix last year, and the upcoming horror thriller Dark Game. Jackson stars in the Hindi sports action film Crakk.
According to People magazine, Westwick and the Thandavam star first met at Silverstone Racecourse in 2021. He asked her out on a double date. She drinks coffee with her dogs, Herbert, a poodle, and Humphrey, a French bulldog. In August 2023, she told Lifestyle Asia that she was attracted to “coffee and dogs” “from the beginning”.
In June 2022, Jackson officially announced their relationship on Instagram, sharing a loving birthday tribute to his girlfriend along with some loving scenes of their relationship. She described Westwick as the love of her life, “home and the adventure of a lifetime all rolled into one.”
Jackson has a 4-year-old son, Andreas Panayiotou, with ex-fiance George Panayiotou.
Westwick, best known for playing socialite delinquent Chuck Bass on the CW's primetime drama Gossip Girl, has kept a seemingly low profile since the show ended in 2012. It became a hot topic during the #MeToo movement in 2017. He was accused of sexual assault by three women. The “Wicked City” and “Snatch” actor denies the charges and said he was “vindicated” that summer when Los Angeles County prosecutors said they would not file criminal charges against him, according to his attorney. “Ta”.
