Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillette also told Yahoo UK that they were simply following the script when it came to using gallons of blood in Abigail’s most violent scenes.

“It’s very sticky. [to work with], but it’s a lot of fun,” Bettinelli-Olpin added. “There’s a lot of blood in all our movies, so we’re kind of immune now.”

“So, when you get to the venue on the day, all the preparations that led up to it are done. And this time we succeeded every time, which was really great. But every time, after the bloodshed, there was laughter and cheers. It happened. And you think you’re at a sporting event and someone hits a home run.”
