They are one of Hollywood’s most successful couples and have been married for almost 30 years.
However, Baz Luhrmann and Katherine Martin seem to be living separate lives these days.
Award-winning filmmaker Buzz joined NRL star boyfriend Travis Kelce, Katy Perry and fellow filmmaker Taika Waititi and his wife Rita at Taylor Swift’s Sydney concert on Friday night. She was spotted with Ora in a star-studded Taylor Swift box.
The Romeo and Juliet director was seen dancing like no one was watching, and his wife is missing despite living on the Gold Coast, about an hour’s flight from Sydney. It was noticeable that
The couple recently downsized from the mansion they lived in and moved into a “shack” in the Miami Beach area after moving to the Glitter Strip in 2020 to film their sixth Elvis movie.
In a recent interview with Australian’s Wish magazine, Martin spoke about their unique marriage.
The Academy Award-winning costume designer said the two speak regularly on the phone when he is in New York and she is staying at a seaside Gold Coast cabin.
Ms Martin said she was enjoying the “work-life balance” on the Gold Coast, taking long morning walks on the beach every day and taking classes at a local Pilates studio.
“I called Buzz this morning. I was walking on my way to Pilates and he was surprised by the weather because he’s in New York,” she said in an interview.
It is unclear whether Buzz joined his wife at their Gold Coast home after attending Taylor’s concert on Friday, or whether he returned to the couple’s mansion in the Big Apple.
Buzz was recently forced to quash rumors of their breakup after fans pointed out eerie similarities to the failed marriage of Australian actor Hugh Jackman and Deborah-Lee Furness.
The director admitted that the two are still very much in love with each other.
Buzz and Martin have been married for 27 years but have just seen their children Lily, 20, and William, 18, leave home.
They listed their Gilded Age townhouse in New York for $28 million to downsize to an “empty nest” home in Australia.
“Ever since the pandemic hit and we were making the movie ‘Elvis’ in Australia, our work has kept us mostly away from our New York City base,” Buzz told the New York Post’s Gimme. -Told Shelter.
“All Elvis filming has taken place on Queensland’s Gold Coast and we will continue to develop shows to be filmed there.”
