However, some people don’t want to connect all their data to the cloud using their Microsoft account, and that’s okay. If you’re one of those people, or you’re planning to give your friend her PC while she’s setting it up, you can follow a few simple steps to use a local account instead.
How to set up local accounts on Windows 11
You could previously use the command in Windows’ Command Prompt, but Microsoft seems to have fixed that trick with a recent update. Therefore, the easiest way to avoid the Microsoft account requirement is to follow these steps.
