Perhaps their romance isn’t ready for the big stage?
After spending a cozy Valentine’s Day in Paris, France, Democratic politician Huma Abedin and her billionaire boyfriend Alex Soros are keeping their relationship out of the spotlight even in their home country.
Abedin attended the opening night of “The Wiz” on Broadway Wednesday night, but heard Soros, the son of financier George Soros, was nowhere to be seen. Insiders say it’s still an item.
Sources spotted Abedin attending the show, which also featured Wayne Brady, Deborah Cox and Broadway newcomer Nichelle Lewis as Dorothy, but she was in the room with her former boss Hillary Clinton. It is reported that.
A former secretary of state’s top secret longtime aide made his relationship with the Liberal megadonor unusually public by posting a photo of the two cuddling in a Paris restaurant.
High society insiders told Page Six at the time that they were surprised by the public Instagram posts and asked those who already knew about the romance to keep quiet.
The two have not been seen together since then, but a source says they still see each other.
However, Abedin continues to appear on the social circuit solo.
She gathered with her girlfriends earlier this month at Saks Fifth Avenue’s La Venue to celebrate Lauren Wesley Wilson’s new book, What Do You Need.
On Thursday, she wore green for the Broadway revival of “The Wiz,” in keeping with that night’s theme.
Officials said the theme of the night was Wear Green for the Emerald City and Yellow for the Yellow Brick Road.
Among other VIPs, Tamron Hall also wore green, Stephanie Mills, who played Dorothy in the original Broadway production, also wore yellow, and Meena Harris and Abedin’s close friend So was Clinton.
Always a fashion rebel, Anna Wintour chose a combination of yellow and orange.
Original cast members Dede Bridgewater, Andre DeShields and Melba Moore were also in attendance.
When Lewis performed his final song, “Home,” Mills gave a standing ovation.
Guests then reportedly gathered at the Hard Rock Cafe for an afterparty.
