Ice-T has no time for rap battles. At least that’s what’s going on between Drake and Kendrick Lamar right now. The rapper took to social media asking people to give his two cents to the fight considering his own military history, but surprised many by expressing his disinterest. Rather than choose a side, like many other veterans, Ice-T dismissed everything. He told his social media followers that he has no interest in seeing two mainstream rappers engage in what he calls “gossip.”
To be fair to T, he has made it clear that he has no interest in the current rap battles. He could use his time better. LAW & ORDER: Special Victim Response Office. “Sorry if you’re not interested in the latest rap beefs and random guy gossip,” he tweeted. “I’m a hustler. I’m just focused on the bag.” This isn’t the first time Ice-T has denied a fight involving Drake. When the Canadian rapper was appearing on Meek Mill in 2015, Ice-T was highly critical of his approach. He claimed that Drizzy’s “Back to Back” was a bad diss record because it was passive-aggressive.

Ice-T transcends the concept of rap beef
“That’s not battle rap,” he said on “Sway In the Morning.” “Battle rap is like Nas Ezzard J, where the first word you start dissing a n*gga, you get in there and let the n*gga know right away. ”, it’s not subconscious…that’s how women are. ” Conversely, Ice-T praised Kendrick Lamar in a 2013 Vibe interview. He called the rapper “dope” and claimed he was an old soul. ”[He] “I came out of Dr. Dre’s camp,” T added, “and I had to be pretty bad to get a pass from Dr. Dre.”
Ice-T’s take on rap battles has changed dramatically over the past few years. He may not be interested in them anymore, but he’s been back and forth with other rappers for decades.He disparaged LL Cool J on his classic 1988 album Power. T also went after Soulja Boy in 2008, claiming the “Crank That” star “killed” the genre. Soulja responded by making fun of Ice-T’s age in a YouTube video.
Ice-T continues to make music with his metal group Body Count, but he hasn’t released a proper hip-hop release since then. gangsta rap Like he said, he’s busy making money on TV.
