The stars of this season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia has been branded “nasty, rude and fame-obsessed”.
Television insiders told Daily Mail Australia that this year’s celebrities were far more interested in “chasing influence” than building the bonds that past participants have cherished. He says he has it.
“Things are obviously terrible, but in almost every season, the celebrities have forged bonds that last for years after the winner is crowned,” the source said.
However, a source in the field claimed that this “does not apply to many of today’s celebrities.”
They also said the gulf between those pursuing fame and those genuinely engaged in the experience was evident.
“Many celebrities find themselves caught between who they are in front of the camera and who they are when they’re not in the spotlight.”
The insider also revealed that the leaked conversations exposed a “cool group” within the jungle, including Dennis Drysdale, Candice Warner, Peter Dycos, Tristan McManus, Stephen K. Amos and Callum Hall. claimed to have been ostracized.
“A source close to the show declined to name names, but the fact that so many other celebrities were clearly left off the list speaks volumes.”
Some contestants, including Khan Ong, Skye Wheatley and Brittany Hockley, also reportedly received mixed reactions from other contestants.
Participants were also criticized for their actions, with some being labeled as “rude, condescending, ageist and not what they seem.”
“They are the most fame-obsessed of the groups that have been formed and are very unattractive,” the source claimed.
He also said that the celebrities had split and that “we will never see two teams challenge each other on the show again.”
Callum Hall, on the other hand, has emerged as a beacon of genuine character and many inside and outside the camp believe he deserves to win.
“Callum deserves a win because he has actually backed away from what should have been an obvious alliance. He is a genuine honest man who was raised by good people,” the source claimed.
AFL legend Peter Daicos echoed this sentiment, later praising Callum’s influence, saying: “He brings a lot of value…he deserves to win.”
