Gemini caused controversy by encouraging the creation of “historically inaccurate” images in the name of diversity, including a female pope, a black Viking, and a Native American founding father. Now, Google has announced that it is pausing the deployment of its Gemini “image generation tool” in order to develop its algorithms.
But that’s not enough for Jordan, who accuses the Biden administration of “influencing” the “awakening” Gemini shows.

Jordan said the Gemini team must ensure that AI promotes “equity,” a left-wing idea that advocates for Black people and other historically marginalized groups to be given the spotlight first. He said he was alarmed by internal reports that he had followed President Biden’s guidelines stating that he should not do so.
People of color and other groups who are not historically marginalized, regardless of their accomplishments.
Jordan, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, sent a letter to Google’s parent company Alphabet on Saturday demanding that it turn over all communications with the federal government by March 17.
Jordan called out his new investigation on I am doing it,” he wrote.
The House Judiciary Committee also announced “breaking” news: “@Jim_Jordan requests information on Biden administration’s role in Google’s ‘woke’ Gemini AI.” The committee is investigating how and to what extent the executive branch colluded with Big Tech and other intermediaries to censor Americans’ speech. ”
Google’s CEO acknowledged that the program was “not working as intended” and said the image generation feature would be reinstated in “a few weeks.”
