It’s probably very unlikely that Jujutsu Kaisen will crossover with the DCU, but a few minor subtitle mistakes have caused fans to humorously consider that possibility.
Both subtitles and dubbing are art. To successfully represent them in anime and manga, we need creative people who speak multiple languages and can cross-reference jokes and cultural norms. The success of Jujutsu Kaisen, Naruto, Dragon Ball, and other major series is due in no small part to the teams who translated them for English-speaking audiences.

However, sometimes mistakes can occur. People can make mistakes and phrasing may not work properly. Similarly, companies automating parts of this process have been known to lead to inherently flawed translations produced by AI. A hilarious typo has painted Jujutsu Kaisen in a completely different light.
Superman joins Jujutsu Kaisen due to funny subtitle mistake
On the Jujutsu Kaisen subreddit, a fan posted an image from the second episode of the anime, which mentions none other than the Man of Steel himself. It is quoted as saying, “Every part of Superman is absorbed and then dies.”

Commenters joked that they were watching the wrong show, but other users were quick to hit back. This version of the series is known as “Justice Kaisen” or “Justice League”. Some cynics say that nothing has changed.

“What’s the problem here? Apparently Yuuji is possessed by a Heian era magician named Superman,” says one commenter. “Oh yeah, I haven’t used my anti-kryptonite technology since the Heian period,” added another.
One user teased the recurring anime-like discussion. “If Goku and Superman touched their fingers 15 times, who would win?” A conversation arose in my head as I read the comments, but I’m not sure I wanted to do it.

The streaming service for the images appears to be Amazon Prime Video, but this type of error suggests cost-cutting measures such as using AI translation. The subtitles and dubs you’ll find on Crunchyroll don’t have this level of error. It’s a sloppy mistake, but at least a laughable one.
