Knocked Loose announces new album, don’t go before you should go, arriving on May 10th via Pure Noise Records. You can stream the video for lead single “Blinding Faith” below.
The news comes as the Kentucky hardcore outfit wraps up a European/UK tour and then heads back to North America for a spring headlining tour featuring support from Show Me the Body and Loos. The massive show begins April 27th at Chic New World in Las Vegas and runs through June 9th in St. Petersburg, Florida, and tickets are available here.
New song ‘Blinding Faith’ has already appeared on the setlist and is a strong example of the band’s sound on the new LP. From Brian Garris’ throat-ripping vocals to the whiplash tempo changes and frenetic guitar work, everything is heightened to the extreme. This is hardcore, close to metalcore/industrial nu-metal, and contains overtly religious commentary in the form of lyrics, album titles/covers, and music videos.
“It was really interesting to see how many people we knew were rude, horribly selfish people were coming to church,” guitarist Isaac Hale said in a press release, adding that the religious aspect of the I felt it keenly. “They knew that doing so made them seem like better people. Or, for that matter, they knew that just by showing their face, any negative qualities would be undone. I was there.”
Meanwhile, the fatalistic album title comes from Garis’s “borderline phobia of flying.” During one particularly difficult flight, he expressed concern to a passenger sitting next to him, and a woman reassured him, “It’s not going to go as planned.”

The album is 27 minutes long, has 10 songs, and was produced by Drew “WZRD BLD” Fulk. Hale admitted that this is certainly Knocked Loose’s most extreme offering to date.
“On this album, we’re going the fastest we’ve ever been. We’re going to the scariest places we’ve ever been,” he said. “We’re also going in the catchiest, most melodic direction ever, and that’s the point. We want to cover all directions instead of branching out in one particular direction.” ”
